Description
HYDRO GUARD PRO SERIES is an elastomeric, liquid applied, emulsified asphalt membrane designed for waterproofing walls and other structures.
HYDRO GUARD is a water based and VOC compliant product, designed for below grade waterproofing. Used on poured and/or block foundation walls and ICF Foundations.
HYDRO GUARD is a seamless low modulus elastomeric, which can be applied to damp or green concrete. Can be troweled on or squeegeed.

the foundation walls are clean and free of any loose materials.

All voids are repaired prior to applying HYDRO GUARD on any surface.

Preparation
​
All Surfaces must be sound, dry, clean and free from oil, grease, dirt or other contaminants. Form tie holes must be filled with cementitious material and allowed to cure. Concrete surfaces should be free of excessive fins, voids or spalled areas.

Application
​

Apply a coat of HYDRO GUARD at the rate of 1.13L/m2 (2.5 US gal/90ft2) over the entire area.

Brush a suitable poly fabric or fiber mesh in to place with a soft bristle brush to eliminate wrinkles, air pockets or blisters and obtain full contact.

Overlap the poly fabric or fiber mesh extending at least 50mm (2") at all joints.

Apply a second coat of HYDRO GUARD over the whole area at not less than 1.13L/m2 (2.5 US gal/90ft2).
Curing and Protection

Allow to dry thoroughly and apply a suitable protection layer to avoid damage cause by backfilling. Curing can be accelerated by adding curing agent. Contact supplier for more info.

Precautions
​
DO NOT THIN. When transporting this product, be sure the container is secured and the lid is tight. Do not allow container to tumble as this may loosen lid and allow leakage to occur.

Clean Up
​
For uncured material use water and use mineral spirits for cured films. Please refer to the solvent MSDS for proper handling and safety.

Limitations
​

Not designed to perform as a permanently exposed surface.

Must be protected from damage during construction.
​
HYDRO GUARD shall not be applied when ambient (air) and substrate temperatures are below -5 degrees C.
The product cannot be applied if it is raining, or if the possibility of rain is likely within 24 hours.
The product should not be applied if it is expected that the ambient temperature will fall below -5 degrees C within 48 hours.
​
